Book Review - ASAP Science by Mitchell Moffit & Greg Brown

****
"It has the answers to the most befuddling questions." ~ B.J.

Book Review - As Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Richard Jacobson

****
"I rated this book four stars because I really liked how it took place in Maine and on Mount Desert Island, a place that I have stayed before." ~ S.C.

Book Review - Henry Hubble's Book of Troubles by Andy Myer

***

"In this book Henry's ideas always lead him to trouble, even if he is trying to do the right thing.  Henry has a wild personality.  I rated this book a three because it is all written by his journal entries and it is not a book i 'loved.'" ~ B.P.

Book Review - Cinder by Marissa Meyer

*****
"This book is packed with action.  It keeps you on your feet wondering what will happen next.  Certain doom or peace and tranquility.  It is interesting how this book makes you think just when you think you understand who you are and where you stand you really don't have a clue."  ~ E.B.

Summer is Here!

Happy Summer Vacation!!

Hopefully you've caught up on some sleep and now you're ready to enjoy summer to the fullest!

Add GPL to your list of places to visit -- we have great books to choose from (no assigned reading here!), tons of videos, music cds, and you-name-it (and if we don't have what you're looking for we can probably find it at another library and borrow it for you for free -- just ask!).....

This Summer, every day you come in and check something out (whether it's ours or through interlibrary loan) you'll also get a Golden Ticket -- good for winning a $5 gift card to Gardiner food stops downtown OR dozens of smaller prizes OR chances toward our end-of-summer grand prizes, including an after-hours Paint Party here at the library.

Also, join us for all the Harry Potter movies (we're showing 1 per week, with 2 viewing times -- Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings, with Free Popcorn!), plus Drawing Drop-Ins on Tuesday afternoons and some creative writing workshops on Thursday mornings.
